The Golden Grove Health Centre opened its doors for business on the 17th December 1988 with Dr John Emery being the principal doctor.
Golden Grove Development Pty Ltd - a jointly owned company of the SA Land Trust and Delfin Pty Ltd charged with the development of the Golden Grove Area by the SA Government, had called for tenders for the first General Practice to be established in the Development area. Some 70 applications were received and reviewed by a panel which consisted of a representative of the developers, a community representative appointed by the Tea Tree Gully Community Health Centre and Dr Dean Southgate - the associate Professor of Community Medicine at Flinders University.
Since that time a number of doctors have worked and contributed to the development of the practice.
The partners are Mark Harris, Lou Skeklios and Carol Brownbill. Currently working in the practice are Enzo Parletta, Jenny Bowen, Joanne Preiss, Lyn Lim, Ethan Tieu, Elizabeth O'Driscoll, and Md Wazid.
Golden Grove Health Centre is an accredited practice. Accreditation is an initiative introduced to General Practice to recognise the Centre's ongoing commitment to safety and quality of care within general practice.
Our aim is to provide a comprehensive general medical service. The doctors have a wide range of skills to meet all your medical needs. All of our doctors and staff regularly undertake programs to maintain and update their knowledge and skills in healthcare delivery. Evidence shows that health outcomes are enhanced by attendance at the one practice for all of your medical needs. For continuity of care and management of sometimes complex care needs, our clinic likes to encourage where possible, patients to see their usual doctor. Every endeavour is made to assist you with this. Please ask the receptionist.
The Practice Manager is Helen Cheetham.
